How do Poshmark fees work?
One fee, taken when the sale completes. Below $15 it is a flat $2.95; from $15 it is 20% of the sale price. On a $40 sale Poshmark takes $8.00 and you receive $32.00. There is no listing fee and no separate payment processing fee. The buyer pays for the prepaid postage label, so postage is neither income nor a cost for you.
What happens at exactly $15?
Poshmark’s help page charges 20% from “$15 or more”, which makes a $15 sale cost $3.00 and leaves you $12.00. Its terms notice from October 2024 words it as $2.95 for sales “$15 and under”. We follow the help page and show a note when the price is exactly $15. Either way, $14.99 leaves you more than $15 does ($12.04), so pricing just under $15 can make sense.
How do I price to keep a set amount?
Use the “what to charge” mode. It searches below and above $15 separately, so it never misses a cheaper price under the $15 step.
Is Poshmark dearer than Mercari or eBay?
On most clothing prices, yes. Poshmark’s 20% is the highest single rate among the big US resale apps: Mercari takes 10% and eBay 13.6% in most categories. On a $40 top Poshmark leaves you $32.00, Mercari $36.00 and eBay $34.16 before postage. What Poshmark offers for the fee is its buyers, and a prepaid label the buyer pays for. Under $15 the flat $2.95 can be a big share: on a $5 item it is more than half the price. Our comparison puts the same sale side by side.
