How do Whatnot fees work?
Two fees, on two different bases. The commission is on the item price only, not on postage or tax. The payment processing fee is on the whole order, including the postage and tax the buyer pays. A $100 sports card with $6 postage and 8% tax pays $11.62: commission on $100 and processing on $114.48. Because Whatnot sells the buyer the label, the postage is not yours to keep.
How do the Whatnot tiers work?
Since 21 September 2026 the commission falls as your sales over the last 4 weeks grow, and the steps differ by category. Enter your 4-week sales and the calculator picks your tier from the table below.
Are there promotions?
Whatnot has charged 0% commission on the part of an order above $1,500 in some categories since 14 January 2026. It is a limited-time offer, so the calculator does not apply it.
